The Delayed Mirror is a digital installation that offers a glimpse into a parallel universe. The work's viewport displays a look into the near past of the same space where its viewers are situated. While the current audience is 'people-watching' former visitors, it is becoming the observership subject for future viewers. Once arriving in the space, the visitor does not see themselves before 5 minutes pass. The installation stresses the ideas of mirrors and time distortion, generating unconscious communication between viewers of a different time. The work resists instant gratifying reflection and invites its audience to stay, wonder and send a message to the future.
